Man hospitalized after being shot in the leg near restaurant in North Miami, police say

A man was taken to the hospital on Sunday after he was shot near a restaurant in North Miami, police said.

According to North Miami Police, officers arrived at the area of 13785 NW 7th Ave. after receiving calls of shots being fired.

At the scene, officers searched the area for any victims, but they didn’t find anyone.

Soon after, officers learned that a man had been taken to the hospital by private means. Officers went to the hospital and confirmed that the man had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg.

No arrests have been made as the investigation into the shooting remains active.
